Our Mandate

To strengthen coordination and networking of LASPs, harmonisation and standardisation of legal aid service provision by the different service providers, lobbying and advocacy to facilitate a favourable legal and policy environment.

Micro Justice Uganda -MJU

The organisation seeks to support citizen-driven actions in Uganda that promote the individuals’ right to an
adequate living standard, and the right to development as strengthened by the right to access justice.

1.  To promote an individual’s access and equitable enjoyment of the human and social economic rights.
2.  To build awareness and capacity development among individuals and communities about exercising their
human and socio-economic rights.
3.  To fortify the communities’ contribution in the design and implementation to social economic policies and programs.
4.  To ensure the Government is effective in and accountable for the delivery of human and socio-economic
rights based services through empowering the individual person.
5.  To provide legal aid support to individuals and communities for the realization and the enjoyment of human
and social economic rights.
