Our Mandate

To strengthen coordination and networking of LASPs, harmonisation and standardisation of legal aid service provision by the different service providers, lobbying and advocacy to facilitate a favourable legal and policy environment.

UGANDA NETWORK ON LAW, ETHICS AND HIV/AIDS- UGANET

With a vision of a Ugandan society free from HIV related abuses in which all people live dignified and fulfilled lives,

UGANET exists to promote the human rights based approaches in HIV responses to ensure social and legal protection of
vulnerable persons.

 

» Objectives
1.  To facilitate the provision of legal redress of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHIV)
2.  To contribute towards the establishment of legal framework for responding to the legal implications of HIV/AIDS
3.  To sensitise and mobilise legislators, civil leaders, policy makers, community members, NGOs/ CBOs and all
other actors at National and District level to individually and collectively respond to issues of human rights and
HIV/AIDS
