Legal Aid Project of the Uganda Law Society - LAP

LAP seeks to To improve the professional standards of its members and to promote respect for Human Rights, the Rule of Law and Access to Justice. It envisions a Ugandan society where all Human Rights are respected, promoted and defended to ensure access to justice for all is a reality irrespective of gender, age, ethnicity, and religion or socio-economic status.

Micro Justice Uganda -MJU

Platform for Labour Action - PLA

Public Defender Association of Uganda - PDAU

PDAU seeks to establish a national mechanism for legal representation of people with criminal cases. It envisions a society in which disadvantaged people with criminal cases have improved access to justice in fulfilment of constitutional requirements.

Public Interest Law Clinic - PILAC

PILAC's mission is To challenge academic, political and social elitism, promote equality and non-discriminatory access to justice, and facilitate the greater protection of human rights at the national, regional and international levels. Its vision is To build a cadre of lawyers with specialist public interest law training and ardent interest in human rights law practice to provide critical support to vulnerable and marginalized groups in society.

Refugee Law Project - RLP

RLP seeks to empower asylum seekers, refugees, deportees, IDPs and host communities in Uganda to enjoy their human rights and lead dignified lives. Its vision is that all people in Uganda enjoy their human rights, irrespective of their legal status. This vision is supported by relevant international laws as well as the Constitution of Uganda.
